GEVALIA Coffee RumChata Push Up Pops Recipe

Remember push up pops as a kid? Well, here’s an adult version for you. Now that it’s warm enough to sit by the pool, it’s great to have an icy treat. I ordered empty push up pop containers a while back, so it was about time I did something with them. I see them all over Pinterest. I also hear about RumChata all the time lately. So… let’s combine the two and see what happens!

The weather is hot, our pool is open, and we are ready to enjoy the summer! Neither one of us drinks alcohol a lot anymore, but once in a while by the pool is a real treat. The hubby and I headed to Walmart to stock up some items. I printed some Kraft coupons and was ready to go.

Since I had a valuable $1.00 coupon for GEVALIA Coffee, that was on the top of my list. I like to enjoy iced coffee drinks when it’s hot out. I asked a friend if she had any creative coffee cocktail recipes, and right away she said “add RumChata“. Sure enough, Walmart had RumChata, too, and… $2.00 cheaper than our local liquor store. Nice!

GEVALIA Coffee with RumChata Frozen Push Up Pops

Coffee Rumchata push up pops

I brewed my GEVALIA coffee and added it to an ice tray. Using frozen coffee cubes makes any iced coffee drink even better. Next time I make this I want to try freezing some RumChata into cubes, too. This recipe can also be easily made non-alcoholic by using vanilla almond milk and a touch of cinnamon.

Once I had my frozen GEVALIA coffee cubes, I added 7 of them into my blender. I then added one cup of RumChata. After blending smoothly, this could definitely be enjoyed as a beverage as is, but I chose to add it to my push up pops and freeze. After those started being a hot mess, I added the rest to a shot glass and just drank it that way. Top off with some whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles and YUM!

Fun boozy push up pops. Adult popsicles with coffee and RumChata.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 8 hours
Freezing time 8 hours
Total Time 16 hours 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • GEVALIA Coffee brewed and frozen into cubes.
  • 1 cup RumChata, or Almond Milk
  • Push Up Pop Containers, optional
  • Whipped Cream, optional, cinnamon and/or Chocolate sprinkles as topping.

Instructions

  1. Use about 7 frozen coffee cubes and blend with one cup of RumChata.
  2. One cup makes it pretty strong (in my opinion), so add more or less to taste.
  3. Drink as an iced coffee drink... or add to push up pop containers and freeze.
  4. Top with your choice of toppings.

Notes

**** To make non-alcoholic, simply replace RumChata with Almond Milk and add a touch of cinnamon.

I am a huge sissy when it comes to tasting alcohol and found these to be a little too strong for me. Next time I think I will use 3/4 cup of RumChata and 1/4 cup of Almond Milk to make them a little weaker. Play around and adjust to your taste.

I still have the rest of my bag of GEVALIA to enjoy as my daily coffee. The smooth, rich taste is so delicious. With my $1.00 off coupon, I was able to stock up on a few bags. It’s so affordable and extremely delicious!

Make sure to grab your money saving coupon and try it yourself!

I love the idea of brewing coffee and adding it to an ice tray for ice cubes. I am going to try that in the summer for iced coffee! This recipe sounds wonderful and I would enjoy it!

My favorite iced coffee beverage is Starbuck's Caramel Frapp! But I would have to say that the Coffee Rumchata pops look so delicious. I never thought about freezing coffee and putting the cubes in my coffee drink. I am going to try these recipes!

Sounds good wonder if I could make Sangria Pops? But first I would need to find the empty push up containers as I did not know of such a thing.
