Are you an unorganized mom and looking for some peace/piece of mind? Does the fact that your kids are going back to school give you mixed, bittersweet emotions? You love that you will have a little more time for yourself, but know that it is also a lot more work with having to keep them on track and on task… Product was received for review purposes and this post may contain affiliate links.
This kind of stuff has been on my mind a lot lately. I've been trying to get myself more in order, and it seems, the more I do that, the more out of order my kids get. I am trying desperately to learn how to get organized, but it seems, I just can't do it on my own.
I struggle to keep everything in one place and accessible. Lately, my catch-all has been the attic. Well, that's great for things like seasonal items, but what about all the rest… Instruction manuals, schedules, all the photos and memories I want to someday have the time to put into a scrapbook, valuable items that I've documented for insurance purposes, etc.
Well, I think I may have found the solution on how to declutter, not just my brain, but my office and home. AboutOne.com has really helped me sort through my stuff and categorize, organize, label, and arrange, basically everything in one place… and, the best part of all this is… It's not taking up any of my space!
This is not simply some photo bank or address book. Its those, and a digital filing system and more. I can now de-stress knowing that all the stuff I, and any mom, keeps track of, is neatly arranged online. One of my worst fears is that if something were to ever happen to me, how would anyone know how to take care of my kids?
Now, all their medical information is neatly arranged, all the annoying instruction manuals that I seem to have to have are all scanned and copied into files, my photos, memories, videos, important documents, even the totally unimportant junk that I find priceless has a place on this site! I will even be updated on product recalls if something I own is in that category.
My favorite feature, is the family newsletter. I have quite an expansive family, and staying in touch is not just a challenge, but something we rarely do. It saddens me that we all got too busy and consumed in our own lives to keep in touch. Now, I can quickly communicate all the fun stuff, or whatever is going on, to the whole fam.
You might be thinking this all sounds great, but where am I going to find the time to upload all my stuff? Well, it actually didn't take me that long. You can add content by email, import your address book and they are even coming out with an iPhone app to make the process even quicker.
