I was thrilled to receive a DXG Luxe 1080p HD Camcorder to review. Everyone needs a video camera these days. It's the ultimate way to capture precious memories. The last event that we appreciated the latest technology in video cameras was our wedding. With so many friends and family members having their own handheld camcorders, not a moment was missed. It's truly priceless! Product was received for review purposes and this post may contain affiliate links.

Now, when choosing your camcorder, there are many things to look for. If you are like me, style is one of them! Who wants a plain black one when you can have dozens of fabulous colors and designs to choose from? I received the DXG Luxe in Quilted Red Merlot and it's just fab. I wish the gold detail was silver, but that's not a big deal. With it's matching carrying case, I get tons of compliments on it!
Okay, so it's cute, but how does it work? I am happy to report that it works fantastic! It does not come with a memory card, but after I got one I was in business. It's so easy to use and I didn't even need to read the instructions – even though everyone should! That's a horrible habit of mine!
The 3″ touchscreen display is clear and easy to see exactly what you are filming. You can also capture still shots, which is great so you don't have to carry a camera, too. This is such a handy all-in-one device. As soon as you flip the screen open it turns the device on. You can flip the screen around, too. There is a menu and self-explanatory touchscreen options to help you throughout your filming process. A bright LED light can be turned on if additional light is necessary. This is my first experience with a camcorder that has 1080p and HD and boy can I tell the difference! Everything is crisp and brilliant.
This video camera comes equipped with a USB cable for uploading to your computer and an AV cable if you would like to hook it up to your TV. I have found the TV option great for when I visit my Grandparents. They do not have the internet, so I cannot email videos and pictures to them like I do with everyone else. This way they won't miss out because I can easily show them everything on their TV screen the next time I visit!
I am not that experienced (yet) with creating videos so I appreciate how easy the DXG Luxe is to use. However, there are many options available for the more experienced person. I am going to have fun learning about White Balance, Macro and Night Mode, but it's great to know that I can just point & shoot, too!
