I have been cloth diapering my little boy (now nearly 17 months old) since he was about 4 weeks old. We've had our struggles, the ups and downs of cloth diapering, but all in all I am thrilled to be a cloth diapering mama and can't wait to use cloth with our new baby girl from day one in February! I truly enjoy trying new diapers and telling you all about them because I am well aware that with cloth diapering it is trial and error. You have to really try different diapers to find what works best for your little one and for your home. Product was received for review purposes and this post may contain affiliate links.
I recently tried this Bumboo Fitted Cloth Diaper from Earth, Mom and Baby. On their site they say it is the “softest cloth diaper that will ever touch your baby's bottom”. I was intrigued when I read that and couldn't wait to receive and wash it over and over to see how true that was! The diaper is available in various snap colors or they have a rainbow one, which is what we received. I absolutely love the rainbow snaps, which include pastels of blue, green, pink and yellow! It's adorable! These Bumboo diapers are made of 100% bamboo from viscose fibers woven into a bed of real silk, not polyester. It is available in two different sizes.
We tried this diaper in two different scenarios: daytime playtime and night-time. It does require a cover when using and we had no problems with this diaper at all. It worked great in both situations. It does come with an extra insert for night-time use. And to answer that initial question I had, YES, it is the softest diaper that has ever touched my little boy's skin! Even after washing multiple times, it is still great! It's amazingly soft and I wish I had some clothes made of this material to hang around in at home! 🙂 Laundering this diaper is rather simple as well. It does require at least two washes prior to use but after that just our regular diaper laundry routine, nothing special.
The closure on this diaper is a bit different, but with each use, it becomes easier and easier. I love that there are NO snaps touching baby once it's on. Unfortunately this diaper was not daddy friendly in our home as my husband is not a fan of snaps and this closure scared him away, but I like it and I use it regularly! 🙂
Another thing I want to mention is the amazing service from Earth, Mom and Baby. The first diaper we were sent for review was actually defective. I contacted the wonderful company and they immediately sent another diaper, which we had no problems with at all! They were fast, friendly and super nice to work with. Their warranty actually replaces any defective diaper within a year (this includes elastic – not typically covered by companies!). Great warranty, great company!
