Welch's Filled Licorice
No matter how healthy I try to eat, my sweet tooth inherently gets the best of me. I'm a big chocolate lover, but I have those occasional cravings for something fruity, something chewy- something like Welch's Filled Licorice candies. Product was received for review purposes.
I'm a huge PB&J fan, and growing up my jelly choices were limited to homemade jelly, or Welch's. I remember loving Welch's strawberry jelly, and I was excited to see that Welch's transformed their jelly flavors into both the Concord Grape and Strawberry Filled Licorices. I was curious to see how the flavors translated, however, and was a little worried the greatness I had grown up with would be lost in that translation.
For extra coverage, I enlisted the fruit flavored candy connoisseur that is my lovely boyfriend, and together we set out to try these magical fruit-filled tubes. We were a little put off at first, upon opening the Concord Grape flavored licorices. The smell eerily reminded us of the cough medicine forced upon us as children. However, once we got a few nibbles of the candy, we were seriously satisfied. The Strawberry tubes were just as delightful! Oh, and at $1-2 a package, the deal was pretty satisfying altogether.
I promise, if you have little ones who are deserving of a small sugary snack every once in a while, check these out! There will be no sense of disappointment felt, except for if you accidentally devour the whole package (or two…), like we did! You can find these at basically any grocery store or convenience mart, so keep an eye out!
