In our house, making school lunch is a daily routine in the morning. I have battled baggies, paper, foil and plastic wrap all before coffee and it has always ended badly. This is not just obnoxious, it's expensive, wasteful and terrible for the planet. And, at that hour, I want everything to be as close to thoughtless as possible–my brain isn't actually functional until early afternoon. Product received for review.
Rubbermaid has given us the solution to all our school lunch problems. Their LunchBlox line is simply brilliant. These containers come in sizes perfect for school lunch and dinners on the go. They're great for sandwiches, salads, yogurts, soups, and just about everything. They are microwavable, dishwasher safe and can be frozen. The kits come with an ice pack that fits/locks into place to keep everything chilled and organized. Plus, they're just the right size for keeping your portions in control.
My favorite feature of the sandwich kit is that it is sized for over sized bread. I've had sandwich containers before and they never fit the bread I use! This one is wide enough to accommodate most varieties.
I am definitely going to be using these for leftovers. I love that they can go from fridge to lunch box. Such a time-saver! And, you can rest assured because these are all BPA-free so there are no worries when it comes to all the toxins in some plastics. Plus, the tight seal means no leaks in your bag!
