Fall is upon us and now is the time to plant the right seasonal items for your region. Just because the weather cools doesn't mean your planting should stop. Fall gardening can be quite the success with the help of Miracle-Gro. Using their helpful guide, find out what will thrive in the cooler weather in your area.
Since I live in the Midwest the guide suggests that carrots, lettuce and broccoli are the top fall veggies to plant. Works for me since those happen to be three of my favorite vegetables.
I headed on over to Pinterest to find some great gardening ideas. They have some amazing pictures and creative suggestions. It's time for me to stopping repinning and start DOING! 😉
We have a pretty large yard, but I would still like to keep the garden quite small and contained. Our dogs love to run and I don't want to limit their space at all. The ideal scenario would be to have the hubby build us some raised gardening boxes.
The link in that pin contains a nice tutorial on how to make your own raised boxes. I will add that to my handy hubby's to-do list.
Raised beds are also ideal if you don't have the best soil in your yard. This allows you to fill the boxes with only the best dirt, like Miracle-Gro® Potting Mix. This product is ideal for all kinds of container or potted plants. It feeds plants for up to 6 months with Miracle-Gro Continuous Release Plant Food.
The organized and contained look of raised beds will really let us Find beauty in the Fall. I am feeling very inspired and ready to take on this project.
Wow, look at this one!
I suggest you check out the site to see what you can do this season. Also, like the Miracle-Gro Facebook page for many more ideas.
