So… exciting news in the lives of Naomi and hubby – we are adopting a baby! We are still a ways out before we are placed with a child, however, we are still planning and searching for all kinds of cool things for baby! Our adoption completion will require us to travel to the country and stay there for SIX weeks while we finalize the adoption, but we are excited about some time to get to know our little one before we have to enter the “real world” of suburbia again. I will be reviewing some things along the way that are made for baby and hopefully made to help our travel easier! I was especially excited about the Moby Wrap, because not only is it convenient to carry a baby, but it is highly recommended for bonding and attachment in the early months of our adoption. Oh! And we were able to get one with our favorite baseball team logo – the Cubs! Product received for review. Post contains affiliate links.
Wear Your Baby
Our Moby Wrap is 100% cotton, and it is grey – so it is kind of like a comfortable t-shirt or sweatshirt for baby and you. We are using a stand-in baby for review purposes (unfortunately the stand-in baby was not ready to be an internet star, so pictures will be with Zebra Baby… he doesn't have a name yet.) I had my husband try out the carrier with stand-in baby, and since it is so multi-functional, it was easy to use for him even at 6'1″ – it is also stretchy and really adjustable, so it fits any size adult. He was able to “wear” the baby for quite a bit before they became uncomfortable being so close to my hubby (I don't think it was the Moby Wrap's fault, I think it was lack of familiarity).
We are excited about our Moby not only because it was comfortable to wear for a long time, but because we can use it for travel, it comes with its own bag and rolls up small. With just a little bit of practice we are able to put it on our own body without the help of anyone else – and it was easy to get baby in and out of it.
Keep watching for more reviews on baby travel gear and more practicing with Baby Zebra!
