I don’t really want to talk about armpit stains at all – “armpit” the word just kind of makes me feel icky. But almost all of the white shirts in our home have armpit stains. My husband’s undershirts and my t-shirts just have to be covered up with a sweater or dress shirt at all times. I didn’t really know how to solve my problem, so usually I just get lazy and throw the stained ones out and buy new shirts. Recently I was able to try Raise Armpit Stain Remover, and it fixed the icky shirts! Post contains affiliate links.
Raise Armpit Stain Remover
Until recently we had been sharing a laundry room with other people in rentals – so I just didn’t take the time to learn how to treat stains or save clothes from icky pit stains. However, now that I have my own space to do laundry, I was going to figure out how to bleach some of my whites to clean them up a bit – but I had other shirts that needed to be cleaned up, shirts with stripes that couldn’t be bleached… so I was left wondering what to do… and of course, didn’t do anything!
Raise is a pre-treatment stain remover; you apply the liquid to the affected area, let sit for 15-20 minutes and wash. Raise will not work if you have tried to use bleach before – but I learned from the people at Raise that the bleach will actually SET the stain in – and make it permanent – not to mention the super strong smell and danger of getting it everywhere that you don’t want to! Because it is not bleach – I can use it on the shirts that have colored stripes, and even saw that people have used it on solid colored shirts. I was actually really pleased at the results – with one use, it looks significantly better, I didn't scrub much, and might try it again to get it completely white again – I have no doubt it will get there!
