Gorton’s Seafood has been a regular in our freezer ever since my first review with them. It’s a great product to have on hand for quick and easy dinners. This time I have partnered with them to announce their release of 20 seafood options with 200 calories or less per serving.
Now that the warmer weather is finally making an appearance, I am starting to crave lighter foods. As soon as it’s warm outside I lose that urge to eat heavy, comfort foods. Bring on the fruits, salads, and seafood! Mike and I both like to cook more fish during the summer. Getting bikini-ready is also a goal. Got to get that “winter coat” of 5-10 lbs OFF before the pool opens!
With Gorton’s new lower-calorie options, it will be easy to get on the right track. They also have a large variety of recipes on their website. The “lighter fare” category has many recipes that look delicious. Even with these meals being from the freezer, they have an impressively fresh taste. Let’s face it, I am too busy to go and buy fresh seafood everyday. Not to mention we live nowhere near the ocean! So, of course, fresh is the most ideal option, but Gorton’s takes pride in offering a high-quality product. They follow rigorous quality guidelines as a part of the “Trusted Catch” program.
We received free coupons to try out the new products. My favorite was the Gorton’s Roasted Garlic and Butter Grilled Tilapia Fillet. It’s light, delicious, and gluten free. At only 80 calories per serving, that leaves room for tasty sides, too. A meal like this leaves me feeling great. Way better than our heavy winter meal choices. :/
I am sure we will eventually work our way through all 20 choices. Each one looks delicious, and from my experience with Gorton’s, I am sure they will be!
Find Gorton’s Seafood products at your local grocery store. Make sure to stay in touch with them by liking their Facebook page, following on Twitter, and following on Pinterest (where you will find even more yummy recipes!).
I also received a fun prize pack and you can win your own!
