National Teen Driver Safety Week is coming up and I have partnered with State Farm to share this important topic. All opinions are my own. State Farm wants to get the word out about their program, Celebrate My Drive, with singer Kelly Clarkson.
Get Ready for National Teen Driver Safety Week
It's not surprising to learn that auto crashes are the number one cause of death among teens in North America. Personally, I would expand that to “young adults” – not just teens. Too often it seems like I hear about another fatal car crash that has happened to someone that I know. My 22 year old cousin was just killed in a car accident this year. It has completely turned our family upside down and it will never been the same without her.
State Farm has created this program to share the belief that safe driving is a lifelong commitment from the start. Thousands of people have joined this effort, including students, family, friends and high school staff members.
The Celebrate My Drive program is encouraging teens to get involved in the program. In doing so their school and community will have the chance to win (2) grand prizes: The opportunity to host a Kelly Clarkson concert at their school, as well as a $100,000 check. Um, pretty epic prizes, don't you think?
From now until 11:59pm CT on Thursday, October 17, 2013, register your high school for a chance to win.
