Did you know that April 11 is National Cheese Fondue Day? It’s okay, I didn’t really either, until now! Emmi Roth USA wants to help us celebrate by providing some of their cheese fondue as a giveaway! I received some for myself to share my thoughts. All opinions are my own.
Cheese Fondue from Emmi Roth
Fondue is not an outdated activity – and I have been seeing more and more people use it at parties. It is a fun way to serve a variety of foods with cheese (or sometimes chocolate dips). Emmi Roth USA has an original traditional Swiss recipe made with real all-natural cheeses.
When I heated my fondue, I was expecting kind of a mess – or that it would stick to the pot so bad I would have to spend awhile cleaning up. However, it was actually super easy to heat, dip, and clean up my fondue. It came in a ready-made pouch; I just had to empty into the pot and heat it over the stove, and keep it warm over the fondue heat source. The box had tons of suggestions as to things to dip, flavors to add to the cheese, and how to enjoy the fondue experience – even as a newbie to fondue it was easy for me!
In order to help you celebrate National Cheese Fondue Day, Emmi Roth provided me with some Fon-DO’s to share with you for a fondue party:
Don’t arrive empty handed. Bringing something to dip is always a good hostess gift.
Be a little adventurous by tasting everything you are served (the exception to the rule is a dietary restriction, in which case you may politely decline).
Sample before salting. Try a bite of your food before adding anything. Fondue is already seasoned with spices and wine, so it might be perfect just the way it is.
