My baby boy is growing up REALLY fast, I know people say that, but it becomes so real when you are living it. Soon, we will be on to solid foods, and I am so nervous about making the right choices for him. I was excited to partner with Fresh Baby to share with you some Summer Food Safety tips. I received products for review in exchange for my honest opinion – and if you keep reading their might be something in it for you too!
Summer Food Safety
Research has shown that children’s eating preferences are established by age 3 – this means I have a limited window to make sure I am introducing healthy foods to my little guy before he decides what he is going to like and not like. Fresh Baby was founded on the belief that parents want to raise healthy children. Fresh Baby aims to equip parents with the tools they need to make healthy eating choices and create healthy eating habits for their children.
When it comes to making homemade meals, I am never sure how long things are safe to eat leftover. Fresh Baby has provided a tip sheet to help answer some of those questions – you can download the Refrigerator Care tip sheet – get rid of the old and restock with healthier options! They have also created a tip sheet for Freezing Foods and a Knife Guide to find the best blade for the job. They even have a fun tip sheet for Kids in the Kitchen. As your kids get a little older, they can be learning so much in the kitchen – like math, science, and reading skills. This tip sheet shares with you some ideas to make your time in the kitchen with them educational.
The So Easy portion storage bags allow for me to measure out portions quickly and to date bags so I can keep track of how long they have been around. Color coded cutting boards are helping us keep track of which cutting board we are using for fruits, veggies, poultry, etc. The cutting boards even have tips on food safety, cutting, and preparing your meal. As our little guy gets older – their 3 Piece My Cutlery Set, So Easy Divided Dish, and Water Bottle will make it safe for him to eat on the go – all items are lead and BPA free.
