Call it a #tbt if you will, but I was looking through photos the other day and wow, how quickly the little man is growing up! My son is 19 months old, I know, I know, I have YEARS to go… but seriously, it feels like he just came home yesterday. I am a Tommee Mommee representing Tommee Tippee. I was compensated for my post, all opinions (and stories) are my own.
Early Moments with Tommee Tippee
We added our son to our family through an international adoption. Even after preparing for a baby for many years, we had no idea how to be parents! The day of our appearance in court we spent time with a social worker, our son, and his caregiver. He wouldn’t sleep all day. Even at two months he probably felt the emotions of an eventful day. After a few last minute paperwork changes, we packed up our diaper bag, and we headed to court. We finalized the adoption and our son was handed to us, he was OURS! He was cute, and yet so very grumpy after no naps that day. We took a taxi back to our hotel room – he cried. We swaddled him – he wiggled free. Then, we pulled out the pacifier – he seemed to like it, and then he slept. For a LONG time. We finally felt the relief of years of waiting for an adoption to be finalized, and we felt the success of handling our first parenting moment (with so many more to come).
As I have shared before – little man loves his pacifier. When he was an infant, we used Tommee Tippee Pacifiers because they are actually proven to be better accepted by new babies (read more here). I love the simple understated designs they have for the littlest of babies. They have a symmetrical orthodontic design, and are BPA free.
