Bridge of Spies star, Tom Hanks, recently had a sit down with YouTube sensation, Kid President, and the results were nothing short of hilarious. Bridge of Spies may be a tense thriller, but this meeting of the minds was 100% laid back laughter.

Bridge of Spies Star Meets Kid Prez

While Bridge of Spies may be an edge-of-your-seat cold war thriller, the meeting between Tom Hanks and Kid President is all about fun. Tom Hanks and Kid President discussed what it means to be a hero and who their favorite heroes were. They also did the Nene – which was a gas – and had some laughs.

The discussion of heroes was the perfect topic for Hanks, since his character is a hero in his own right. Hanks’ character in Bridge of Spies is a normal, run-of-the-mill attorney who is thrust head-long into the Cold War, as he’s recruited to secure the release of a captured pilot.

Along the way, he’s threatened at every turn by an end that could be his doom. He must navigate the choppy, perilous waters of Cold War politics, a deep seeded hatred for Americans, and his own fear as he struggles to free a captured serviceman. All the while wondering if he’ll be the next captive himself.

Heroes Do What’s Right in the Face of What’s Wrong

Bridge of Spies

Bridge of Spies is in theaters right now. It’s a tense, edge-of-your-seat thriller helmed by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. This powerhouse film is more than a masterpiece of political intrigue. It’s a study in what true heroism is. The kind of heroism that comes when people do what’s right in the face of what’s wrong. Bridge of Spies is in theaters everywhere now, and it’s not to be missed.

I am a huge Tom Hanks fan! I cannot wait to see his latest film. We went to the movies in our small town over the weekend, but Bridge of Spies wasn’t on one of the 5 screens. Hopefully next week!
