With the holidays fast approaching, you’re going to find that you may be on a budget. Just because you may be tight on money, it doesn’t mean that you can’t go out, and spend your money! If you know how to find coupons, you can easily save 10%, 20%, or even more!
How to Find Coupons for your Favorite Store
I wanted to give you some tips that I follow, when I’m looking to save money online. What you’re going to find out is that when you follow these steps, you can find coupons just about every time.
#1 Always join the email list: If you’re a fan of a store, or restaurant, I would recommend that you sign up for their email list. Many of the companies out there will give you coupons just for signing up. For example, a restaurant such as Texas Roadhouse will give you a free appetizer for signing up! This is a great way to also get coupons in the future as well.
#2 Be social with them: In this social media 2.0 world with Facebook, Twitter and more, you’re going to find that more and more stores are going to offer coupons via this method. Just like email lists, you will want to follow them to get coupons as well.
#3 Just do a search: A search can yield some great results, but there is a trick to searching online. If you use a search engine such as Google, you’re going to find that if you do a “recent results” search, you’re going to be able to find coupons that are recent. The problem with searching on the main search engine is that you will find that some of the coupons there are rather stale, and won’t work. Always check coupons.com and other site to print coupons, as well.
#4 Consider purchasing them: Yes, this sounds stupid but it does work. If you go to eBay, you can find coupons for just about every store. For example, a few weeks ago, I purchased 10 Lowe’s 10% off coupons. We had to get a new washer, and since our total was around $500, we were able to save $50 with 1 coupon. Those 10 coupons only cost us $8!
#5 Mail them: This is a stretch, but it does work with some companies. Now, if you don’t mind waiting a few weeks, many companies will send you something back. The key here is to make sure that you do it via the old fashioned snail mail method.
These 5 steps should nab you a coupon each and every time. You will also find out that if you search via forums, as well as other deal blogs online, they can point out some rather good deals as well. Forums such as SlickDeals, and FatWallet are a great place to start.
