Knowing the ins and outs of your health care plan isn't something a lot of us can brag about. This is actually costing us more than we think. We could save money on the front end by knowing where to go when sick or injured and on the back end by knowing what preventative care options are available to us. This is a sponsored post but all thoughts and opinions I share are always my own.
Health Care Plan – Learn with Games
So, getting to know your health care plan can be a bit of a challenge. But, United Health Care has put together some fun games that teach us tips and tricks to understanding our benefits. Plus, when you complete the games you'll be entered for a chance to win weekly $25 gift cards and the grand prize of a $400 gift card!
Just in the last month I've been to urgent care, the emergency room, to see specialists, and to see my primary care physician. Knowing when-to-see-who and where-to-go-when is essential for getting the best care and saving the most money.

With health care plans now available to everyone, it is even more important for each of us to take the responsibility for our actions. There is no longer a need to rush to the emergency room for small issues. You can find urgent care clinics, convenience care clinics, or even try visiting a virtual clinic.
The larger picture here is worth understanding. Whenever we go to the emergency room, for example, for a non-emergency situation, we end up costing more. Either it costs more for us, or for our insurance. Either way, somebody is paying for that bill. Plus, it increases wait times for the patients will real emergencies.
If we all go to the appropriate places when necessary we will help the overall system work more efficiently and in the long run, be way less expensive… which would be great for us all.
For the greater good, go ahead and play these educational games. You may just win a gift card and learn something. That's a win-win!
