I realize eventually new moms learn that all the cute accessories are not necessary, but some of them seem like they are cute AND completely useful. I recently received and had the chance to review a Sprout Shell, and I think it is going to be very useful, and of course it is super cute.
As most great baby innovations, the Sprout Shell comes from a mom desperate for an easy solution to trying to fit some kind of blanket over her daughter’s infant carrier. Knowing it could be unsafe if it gets loose and it can get away from you easily if it is windy – she created the Sprout Shell. It is not only a cover for the infant car seat, but it has three other uses!
A 4-in-1 infant carrier cover, the Sprout Shell is super useful! First, of course, it is a car seat cover. It has an elastic band around the bottom that keeps it tight around the infant carrier, and a hole for the handle to slip through. I like that it is simple one layer of cotton fabric, it makes it breathe easy and allows for it to be something I feel like I can use all year round. Some of those heavier ones seem like they could get warm quickly. Next, it can be used as a nursing cover, again the hole that fits over your head and the elastic to keep things covered modestly. It is also a cart cover when you are in the store and slips easily over those wooden (often really icky without a cover) high chairs in restaurants.
The Sprout Shell comes in quite a few patterns. I was so excited to find the Alphabet pattern that I found – it matches our car seat so well (because again, the accessorizing is so important!)
You can check out Sprout Shell on their website, starting at $36 – I think it is a great deal for all the potential uses for you and your little one. You can also sign up for their email list and get 20% off – so make sure to use that deal before you make your purchase!
Sprout Shell is social too – check them out on Facebook or the Sprout Shell Blog.
