Have you ever had a no good very bad day? Has it ever seemed like everything was stacked against you? I certainly have. In fact I've had a slew of them this past week.
A No Good Very Bad Day – Or Days Suck
As I sit here writing this, weak, fatigued, still recovering from the flu while simultaneously attempting to remain upright, I SHOULD be getting ready for an advanced screening of Alexander and the Terrible Horrible no Good Very Bad Day. Instead, I'm here – writing about an event I should be attending. Blech. I wish I had pictures of my misery, but unfortunately, I was too sick to remember to put on my blogger hat. Instead I'll just give you a hilarious trailer to watch so you can make it through the rest of this post. =D
See? Very funny. This is what I'm missing. >:(
Last Monday I went to bed thinking that Tuesday would be an awesome time to get my flu shot. The day wasn't going to be too hectic. It was perfect timing. I had a little cough, but it wasn't a big deal. Enter the beginning of my no good very bad day woes. I woke up Tuesday at 4:00 AM suffocating from all of the Mucinex clan deciding to move into my head. Awesome. No flu shot. As the day went on, the extended Mucinex family moved in. I'm talking aunts, uncles, cousins, cousins six times removed. It was awful.
Fast forward to Wednesday, no good very bad day number two. I woke up with a fever, chills, dizziness, the whole bit. It was super awesome. I still had VA work to do, so I slogged through that, finally hitting the hay around 2:00 AM. Thursday was a repeat of Tuesday, except I had somewhere I absolutely had to be, so that was stacked on top of it. I had to be there Friday again.
Saturday and Sunday, I began to come out of my no good very bad day sickness woes ever so slowly. I was hopeful. This was the end of the horror! Nope. As it turns out all the goo in my head decided to move to my chest. AH-mazing.
Yesterday, hope loomed large on the horizon. A new day, less congestion, no fever, and the promise of a screening of Alexander and the Terrible Horrible no Good Very Bad Day, which looks exceptionally funny. Alas, it was not to be. My nephew got up, and in a deep, congested, crackling voice said, “Bim… I can't go to school today.” NNNNOOOO! All hope was dashed!
So I sit here, recovering but still weak, whining to anyone that happens to be reading this about my no good very bad day woes. I hope parts of this were funny. I'm sure parts of this were whiny. =D
Have you ever had a #VeryBadDay? If you have, please share! Spread the misery. J/K. Not really…
ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY opens in theaters everywhere this Friday, October 10th!
