I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for OxiClean. I received three product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
We have been trying to get a head start on spring cleaning in this house. Although the weather has not felt much like spring, we are at least trying to plan some projects for when it does finally arrive.
Spring Cleaning with OxiClean
One of my major goals will be to clean and organize our laundry room. This room is smaller than most closets and very difficult to work in. The tiny space houses our furnace, hot water tank, a utility sink and our stack-able washer and dryer unit. I would like to blame the size of the room as to why it’s such a mess, but really there’s a ton of crap we don’t need in there.
Tackling spring cleaning can be a bit overwhelming. I tend to freak out when I think about it and opt to take a nap instead. Because of this, Mike and I are trying to follow steps to create an effective process. Here is our plan:
- Stock-up. Make sure we have all necessary cleaning products on hand. No interruptions because we ran out of OxiClean!
- De-hoard. Go through the chosen room and decide what to do with things. Put in one of three piles – trash, donate, or reorganize.
- Clean. Thoroughly clean the space before putting anything back.
- Condense. Choose products that pack a punch in smaller bottles. With our space issues, it’s easier to store one small tub of OxiClean White Revive Laundry Stain Remover than 3 large bottles of bleach.
These might sound like no-brainer tips, but I need frequent reminders when on a mission like this. Let’s just say I am a not a huge fan of cleaning and look for any excuse to “take a break”!
I must say that I am quite proud of my hubby. He is way ahead of me with our spring cleaning plans. He really made a dent with cleaning out his closets and going through clothes. We were able to donate a huge portion. A few of his older white shirts I was able to revive with OxiClean White Revive Laundry Stain Remover. It offers whitening like bleach, but without the damaging effects of chlorine. It can keep whites looking newer longer. Use it to work with your detergent to bring life back to dingy whites.
It was also easy to freshen up his spring t-shirts in only a few loads thanks to OxiClean Laundry Detergent. The detergent contains three powerful stain-fighters and has a clean, fresh scent. The stain-fighters can lift away complex stains, including, grass, oil, grease and red wine. It’s available in liquid form and in convenient detergent paks.
We even found some of his old dishes from before we moved in together. I gave them a nice clean-up with OxiClean 4X Extreme Power Crystals. If you know me at all, you know I love my dishwasher. This product is another space-saver with the power of 20 loads in a smaller bottle. The Power Crystals break up food on dishes, and leave your dishwasher smelling fresh. They can lift away touch stains like, lipstick on cups and tomato on plastic. Available in two fresh scents and also in time-saving paks.
My opinion of OxiClean was already a good one, but now that I got to try these three products, it’s even better.
