Shamrock Whips are a fun St. Patrick’s Day topping for hot chocolate. Made with frozen whipped cream and sprinkles, they melt into your drink for creamy sweetness. They are a fun and easy way to add a little magic to the holiday.
Clear space in the freezer for a large cutting board or baking sheet lined with wax paper.
Use a pencil to trace the rim of your mug on the wax paper as a guide. In a bowl, mix whipped topping with green food coloring, shaking the bottle first to prevent separation. If the green appears too yellow, add a small amount of blue to balance the color.
Transfer the tinted whipped topping to an 18” pastry bag fitted with a 1M large star tip. Pipe a shamrock shape within the circle guide, adding a second layer for extra height.
Sprinkle generously with St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles.
Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight. When ready to serve, carefully lift with a spatula and place on a mug of hot chocolate. Enjoy!
