Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400℉ and line a baking sheet with foil.
In a medium skillet, cook bacon until it is crisp. Place the bacon on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess grease, and allow it to cool.
2 slice bacon
In a small bowl, mix together one-quarter cup of shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, and garlic powder.
½ cup cheddar cheese,
3 oz cream cheese,
¼ tsp garlic powder
Fill each jalapeño with the cheese mixture and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
6 jalapeños
Sprinkle the remaining one-quarter cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the jalapeño poppers.
Crumble the cooled bacon over the top of the jalapeño poppers and place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the jalapeños are tender. Enjoy!
Notes
As an alternative to freshly cooked and crumbled bacon, you can also use pre-cooked bacon bits in this recipe.
