Ingredients

zest of one lemon
Topping

coarse sugar
sugar in the raw or colored sugar crystals

Instructions
In one bowl, cream together butter, sugar, powdered sugar and oil, then mix in egg and vanilla.
½ cup sugar,
1 cup butter,
½ cup powdered sugar,
1 large egg,
½ cup canola oil,
½ tsp vanilla extract
In the second bowl mix together baking soda, cream of tartar, flour and lavender flowers.
½ tsp cream of tartar,
½ tsp baking soda,
2 cup flour,
3 tbsp lavender flowers
Next, slowly mix dry ingredients into the wet until well blended. Stir in lemon juice and lemon zest.
1 tbsp lemon juice,
3 tbsp lemon zest
Chill for 1 hour.
Pre-heat oven to 350
While cookies are baking, mix together sugar and lavender for topping.
3 tbsp lavender flowers,
¼ cup coarse sugar
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove cookies from oven and sprinkle sugar, lavender mix onto warm cookies.
Serve warm or cooled, enjoy!
