I require easy meal plans in order for them to happen. If a recipe takes too much time and effort, it’s likely that I won’t make it for a very long time – if ever. For the past few weeks, I have been using eMeals. I have partnered with them to let you know about it, and about the exciting new release of their app.

Complete Meal Planning Made Easy

For me the biggest challenge with cooking is planning the meals. I am the person that always intends on creating a plan, but then ends up wandering around the grocery store like a lost child. I buy things randomly with no real direction. When I get home all I can do is hope that I grabbed enough things that mesh well into an actual dinner! This behavior causes me to spend more money, too. I don’t know why I suck at this after all these years, but it’s a constant struggle!

Never would I have imagined this all being solved for me in one easy program! With eMeals you can completely customize a plan to your needs. Choose your family size, subscription choices, and your preferred store. I chose Target and I now get weekly meal plans consisting of 7 dinners for two. The plan provides a detailed recipe, and a shopping list with all of the ingredients that can be found at Target.

how emeals works

New eMeals App

Up until now I had been printing out the meal plans and shopping lists. That can become a mess of wasteful papers. Now with the free app, it’s all available with the push of a button. I am beyond excited about this! Right now the app is available for iPhones only. I have an Android phone, but I was able to get it on my iPod. This still works out well for me. I just have to bring it with me while shopping and everything will be at my fingertips.

The app shows me my easy meal plans for the week and my shopping list organized by aisle. There are check boxes to mark off once you have each item. You can also add additional items to your shopping list. If there is a recipe suggestion that you don’t like you can skip that meal and it will take those ingredients off your list. (Hey, everyone needs one take out night, right?)

Since the app lists all items from Target, it also shows me what my total will be. I was floored at the savings! My total for 7 meals for one week was under $65. That doesn’t factor in the coupons that I will use or other savings. I don’t think I have ever shopped on my own and spent that little for a full week of planned out meals.

Before trying out this program I don’t think I would have ever considered spending money on something like this. Now I know how worth it that it is. It saves me time, money, aggravation, and impresses my hubby with more home cooked meals! No brainer!!!
