Quick Fix Turkey Chili – My Go To Recipe

My Turkey Chili is one of my family’s favorite dishes, and this recipe of Chili is so easy to make! When days get super busy and I don’t have heaps of time to make a home cooked meal, Turkey Chili is my “go to” crowd pleaser. I always keep most of the ingredients on hand, then swing by the store and pick up the turkey.

Turkey Chili

Who doesn’t love a bowl of Chili? With this Quick Fix recipe there are so many ways to change it up, and it’s pretty darn healthy, so you can feel good about serving this chili!

Turkey Chili fixins

What you’ll need:

  • 1- medium to large onion (chopped)
  • 1- Package ground Turkey Meat (You could also use ground beef if you prefer)
  • 2- cans Garbanzo Beans
  • 2- cans Dark Red Kidney Beans
  • 2- cans Mexican Style Stewed Tomatoes
  • Spices- garlic salt, seasoned salt,  fresh ground black pepper, and cayenne pepper (ground or flakes)
  • Additions to your liking:
  • Cheese, sour scream, chili peppers, bread bowls (for serving) bell peppers, fresh garlic
Quick Fix Turkey Chili

In a large pot, brown your Turkey Meat with your chopped onion and spices (this is where you would also add garlic chilis or bell peppers if you choose) Once the turkey is cooked, pour in your 2 cans of Mexican Style Stewed Tomatoes, heat to slow boil then cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 mins. (stirring occasionally)

Chili recipe

 Drain your beans (do not rinse) and add all 4 cans to your simmering chili, stir well and cover to simmer for 15 mins. add additional seasoning to taste.

And that’s it! How easy is that? This healthy, delicious chili will truly become one of your favorite “go to” recipes. 🙂

Turkey Chili

Serve your Turkey Chili as is, with tortillas, or in a bread bowl. Top with cheese, green onions, or sour cream. I love mine with Tapatio! This is also a great crowd pleaser at  Fourth of July get togethers, parties, and pot-lucks! This Chili also tastes great the next day, easy to heat and eat leftovers!

A quick turkey chili recipe that's easy enough for busy nights.

Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion, medium to large, chopped
  • 1 package Ground Turkey, You could also use ground beef if you prefer
  • 2 cans Garbanzo Beans
  • 2 cans Dark Red Kidney Beans
  • 2 cans Stewed Tomatoes, Mexican Style
  • Additions to your liking:
