I Zelfed Myself and Headed to South Walton
During the BlogHer conference week in Chicago we attended many fun events. I am still getting around to posting them all! One of the nights that I really wanted to mention was when I was Zelfed and then headed to South Walton.
#ZelfYourself at Blowtique
The Zelfs sponsored a trip to the salon to get a glamorous blow-out at Blowtique. I had never had my hair styled like this and was quite intrigued. First, we had our hair washed and what a glorious moment this was.
Shauna from Adventures of 8 (my roomie/buddy) and I sat in these comfy couch-like seats and had our heads massaged while getting our tresses thoroughly cleansed.
After that, the blow drying magic began. I could not believe what they could do with a blow dryer. My girl was using really tiny round brushes on me. Brushes that I would get crazy tangled in my own hair. She even said “don’t try this at home”. No worries there!
I loved Blowtique and so happy to now know about it thanks to The Zelfs. There were Zelfs all over the salon, too. These cute little dolls are nostalgic to me, reminding me of troll dolls that I played with as a child. I even ended up with one that really looks like it was made for Sweep Tight!
Shauna and I after we were Zelfed!
South Walton White Beach Party
After we were all done up, we headed back to get ready for the South Walton party. This event had a “white beach” theme, so everyone was instructed to wear white. I had a blast picking out a dress from ShopBop and was very pleased with my choice. I got a ton of compliments and was super comfy all night.
Shelley, Shauna, and I met up with some other fabulous bloggers for a fun evening. Of course, the gorgeous Shelley Zurek of Still Blonde After All These Years was looking fantastic, as always. She’s is the Chief Blonde and head fashionista, after all! The adorable Kayla from The Eclectic Element was with us looking hot, too.
This posh event was hosted by the folks from South Walton. Located in Northwest Florida, South Walton is where you can find your perfect beach. Sugar-white sand, turquoise waters, and activities galore, South Walton sounds like a must-visit vacation spot ASAP for us!
Photobooths are the thing to do at BlogHer, let me tell you. (I need to do a post just on photobooths!) But, this one had some killer lighting. I was so happy with our pictures. Usually I can’t even keep my head in the pic, or my eyes open — so, getting some decent ones was such a relief!
They also had a super-cool beach-box that you could stand in and it made you feel like you were right on the beach. Complete with a preview of the beauty to be expected while visiting South Walton, I could have camped out there all night.
This party was excellent and they were very generous with the swag. They handed out Mophie
Another lovely experience and memories made!
It looks like you all had a great time, it would be great to just be able to relax and have my hair done! And those Zelfs are adorable!

Count me in! I would love that wonderful treatment.
I LOVED that party! It was one of those where you felt instantly relaxed (as if you really were on the beach). You all look fabulous!
I wish that I could have gone! Your hair and dress are gorgeous! The Zelf’s are so cute – they remind me of the little trolls that I had when I was a little girl. lol.
I wonder if Zelfs have to give royalties to the troll doll people? You all look fabulous!
You make me blush girl! Love you and Shelley!
It looks like you had an awesome time! Great pictures. I was excited to see The Zelfs in Chicago too and remembered how I used to LOVE playing with troll dolls. I just gave my two youngest children Zelfs last night and they were so thrilled.
