Our grandparents are in their 80’s and as the years pass it’s getting harder and harder for them to get around. Overall, they’re in great shape, but my gram is having a really hard time taking care of her animals. It’s only a matter of time before she won’t be able to have them at all. My stepdad is in his 70’s and is also an animal lover. He and my gram find such comfort in their animal friends it would be devastating to miss that companionship.

This is one of those ideas that seems like it should be great, but could go horribly wrong. I actually got to see it in action with an elder, and I now believe it really IS a cool concept.
