Get Fired Up with a Date Night at Outback
Date night at a steakhouse can be an affordable reality at Outback. As an Outback Best Mate I received compensation for this post. All opinions are my own.
I am a carnivore. As much as I have tried to experiment over the years, steak remains one of my all time favorite foods. You never have to twist my arm to head to Outback!
Date Night at Outback
Mike and I had been extremely overdue for a date night. With this sizzling hot special that Outback is running, we had the perfect opportunity to fit one in.
Right now, Outback’s Wood-Fire grill meal is a 3-course deal for only $11.99. That price is insane for so much food!
I went along with the deal, but Mike just did his own thing. He had never had a Bloomin’ Onion {gasp}, so he had to try one.
He ate about 3/4 of it by himself and fell in love with it. We also stuffed ourselves with the delicious bread and butter, too.
The 3-course meal deal has the following choices:
- First Course: Start with your choice of Soup or Signature Side Salad
- Second Course: Choose your wood-fire grilled entrée and freshly made side:
- Parmesan-Herb Crusted Wood-Fire Grilled Chicken
- Wood-Fire Grilled Outback Special Sirloin
- Sweet Chili Wood-Fire Grilled Chicken & Shrimp
- Third Course: Finish off your meal with either Classic Cheesecake or Carrot Cake
For my entree I chose the 6oz sirloin and the Aussie fries. Our server was awesome and extremely helpful when it came to answering any questions.
With his help, Mike and I were able to decide between wood-fire grilled or classically grilled. With wood-fire they use just salt and pepper and with classic they use all their special seasonings.
My steak was medium rare just as I had requested. Mike ordered a porterhouse and it was cooked to perfection, as well. We thoroughly enjoyed everything that was on our plates.
Even though we were seriously stuffed, there’s always room for dessert. I chose the carrot cake for my 3rd course in the deal.
Mike ordered his own “sample” size of the Chocolate Thunder Down Under. (For a sample, it was pretty enormous!)
There are other ways to enjoy the great flavors of the Wood-Fire Grill. Here’s a couple more tasty selections:
- Firecracker Grilled Salmon: Wood-fire grilled Salmon glazed with Firecracker sauce and topped with mango salsa. Served with season mixed vegetables.
- Bone-in NY Strip: Known for its juicy, intense flavor, the thick-cut NY Strip is grilled to perfection. Served with one freshly made side and a Signature Side salad.
For our drinks, we just ordered Cokes, but one of these weekends we will have to try something a little more fun. Perhaps a Grilled Pineapple ‘Rita: Smooth El Jimador Resposado Tequila hand-shaken with all-natural citrus juices and crushed pineapple.
They rim the glass with their very own hickory smoke margarita salt and top with a wood-grilled slice of pineapple. Wow!
If you cannot make it out to a date night, order your meal online and take advantage of the Curbside Take-Away. Super convenient to just pick up and enjoy at home.
Stay up to date with Outback by liking their Facebook page and following on Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. Check the specials on their site for the newest deals. They are very social and would love to hear from you!

Outback is my favorite place to eat! I don’t think I have ever had a meal there that I wasn’t totally satisfied with. I love that they have other options, but I am all about their steak. Looks like a super fun date night!
Chocolate Thunder Down Under looks delicious! I haven’t been to Outback in forever.

We eat at Outback once a week! We LOVE it there!
$11.99 for a Three course Dinner. I love eating at Outback Steakhouse and have to try it again soon. I like their awesome Hamburgers!!
Now I want a bloomin onion. Haven’t been there in a while. Time to go back.
I haven’t been to Outback in ages. This all sounds so good- maybe I need to go!! Yumm!!
I have never been to Outback, but out of the options that you listed in your post I would pick the Firecracker Grilled Salmon: Wood-fire grilled Salmon glazed with Firecracker sauce and topped with mango salsa served with season mixed vegetables. I’d love to try a virgin Grilled Pineapple ‘Rita, and for dessert I’d have the Chocolate Thunder Down Under, I love chocolate. Thank you for sharing this review, the food looks and sounds delicious.
