It’s still hot chocolate season if you ask me. As long as it’s consistently below 50 degrees, I’m still sipping on warm and cozy drinks.
We don’t do anything major for St. Patrick’s Day, but Shamrock cocoa whips are a fun and easy way to celebrate a smidge. They are fun to make, plus add creaminess and sweetness to your hot drinks.

Just simple ingredients
Directions
Make Room
Clear a spot in your freezer. Line a large cutting board or baking sheet with wax paper.

Create a Guide
Trace the rim of your mug onto the wax paper to make a size guide for your Shamrock Whips.


Color the Whipped Cream
Mix green food coloring into the whipped topping. Shake the bottle well before using. If it looks too yellow, add a tiny bit of blue.


Pipe the Shape
Transfer the green whipped topping into an 18” pastry bag with a 1M large star tip. Pipe shamrock shapes inside your circle guide, then add a second layer for height.


Decorate
Add plenty of St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles on top.


Freeze
Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Serve
When ready, carefully lift each Shamrock Whip with a spatula and place it on top of your hot cocoa or other warm beverage.
