Mike requests this breaded pork chops recipe at least once a week. My friend had given me this recipe a while back, and it’s been a favorite since then. I am not sure where she originally got it, but it’s too good not to share. Plus, it’s super easy. Mike calls this the “best breaded pork chops ever with the special gravy.” Well, {spoiler alert} the special gravy is Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup.

Breading the pork chops is easy. I use this method to bread chicken, too. It’s simple and super tasty. It’s just flour, egg, and crushed up Ritz Crackers. It’s hard for me to give exact amounts because it depends on the size of your pork chops. For thinner chops, it’s about a cup of flour, one egg, and one sleeve of crackers. Adjust for the amount of pork chops that you are making and size of them.

Ingredients:

  • Pork Chops
  • Eggs
  • Flour
  • Ritz Crackers
  • Cream of Mushroom Soup

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place crackers into a Ziploc bag and smash them with your hands. I don’t recommend using a food processor because it might make them too fine.
  3. Place flour, egg, and crackers into their own shallow bowls.
  4. Prepare a baking sheet. I line mine with foil.
  5. Dip each pork chop into the flour first, then egg, and then crackers. Evenly coat each chop. Place onto the baking sheet.
  6. Drop a spoonful of Cream of Mushroom soup onto the top of each pork chop. Spread it out over the chops.
  7. Bake for 30-45 minutes – increase for thicker chops. Cut into them to make sure there’s no pink.

Seriously, if it’s possible to take a pretty picture of a pork chop, someone teach me. I do not find these pictures appetizing-looking at all. You will just have to trust me, or try it yourself, to see that this makes a delicious breaded pork chop. Same thing happened with my slow cooker pork chops.

I don’t eat pork so I won’t be trying these, I just wanted to say that they don’t look like pork chops, when I first saw the picture without reading the heading I thought they were cookies. They do look delicious, I’m sure that people who eat pork will enjoy them.

This is an easy and tasty recipe. For once, I currently have Ritz, which I don’t purchase often. I’m giving this a try next week!

I make breaded pork chops at least once a month. My recipe did not include the mushroom soup or Ritz crackers, just regular saltine crackers.. This looks delicious. I’m going to try this recipe.
