Nutella is one of my most favorite guilty pleasures. Aside from just eating it with a spoon from the jar, I like to try various recipes using Nutella. Most of you have probably caught on to my frozen treat obsession, so I was on a mission to find another one to make easily. Post contains affiliate links.

Nutella Frozen Push Ups Recipe

First I tried just mixing Cool Whip and Nutella. That is tasty, but it doesn’t freeze. I was trying to be crafty and freeze little heart-shaped bites, but it was like a gummy mess. #fail Then, I came across a post where they created Nutella Cool Whip popsicles. Turns out you need the milk in there to make it freeze. Hey, I am slowly learning.

Nutella Frozen Push Ups Recipe

  • 1 Cup Cool Whip
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 3 Tbs Nutella

Back to the kitchen where I tried to use my Zoku Quick Pop maker with this mixture. Another #fail as it was too soft and just stuck to the sides.

Okay, let’s try these handy push up pops that I just had to have (and only used once). Yes – big #win! They turned out to be just scrumptious. The mixture doesn’t freeze completely solid, so they are easy to push up and bite without hurting your teeth. The consistency is perfect and the flavor just delicious.

The taste reminds me a little like a Frosty from Wendy’s. Of course when I told Shelley this she then rattled off several cute names to call this creation: Frosticle Push Up, Frosticle Fudgsicle, Frosty NutUps, NutellUps… whatever you want to call them they are quick, easy and make for a yummy frozen treat!

I like to have quick and easy push up recipes for the times I am craving a sweet treat. Instead of keeping ice cream in the freezer at all times, I like to make something like this on demand. It’s too easy to grab a pint of ice cream and devour the whole thing. When you have to make frozen desserts on your own, it takes time and effort. As easy as these push ups are, they still require effort. If I’m too lazy to make them, they I guess I don’t deserve the treat after all!

The Nutella flavor is not very strong. Mike is not a Nutella fan {gasp} and he liked the flavor of these push ups. Also, you could just as easily freeze these in a popsicle mold or however you would like, but they are super fun in push up form. I purchased my push up containers from amazon.

Are you a fan of Nutella? Do you think you would like these Nutella frozen push up treats?

I grew up on Nutella in the late 70’s when we were stationed in West Germany. So glad to see the craze finally hit the U.S.!

I like your persistence in finding just the right recipe. Right now it’s snowing and I don’t feel like having one but when the weather gets warmer these will be great.

It’s still too cold here for me to think of making these: current wind chill 16 degrees (better than minus numbers)
