Banana Nut Coffee Cake Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup butter ½ stick, softened
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup milk
- 3 banana ripe, mashed
- ¼ cup butter ½ stick, softened
- ⅓ cup flour
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ cup walnuts chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉ and spray a square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
- In a small bowl, add 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well and set aside.2 cup flour, 2 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt
- In a mixing bowl, add 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter and 3/4 cup sugar. Beat for 3 minutes.¼ cup butter, ¾ cup sugar
- Add egg and vanilla and beat well.1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Fold in mashed bananas.3 banana
- Add flour mixture and milk and beat just until combined.½ cup milk
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- In a small bowl, add remaining 1/2 stick (1/4 cup butter), 1/3 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and walnuts.⅓ cup flour, ¼ cup butter, ½ cup sugar, ½ tsp cinnamon, ½ cup walnuts
- Use a pastry blender to blend all ingredients together until you have small pea-sized chunks. Spread mixture on top of batter in pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
