Meatball sliders are a game day favorite in this house. We love to serve small sandwiches and food on a stick whenever the opportunity arises.

When we have people over for the game, it’s usually last minute. I receive little notice, so all snacks and appetizers need to be quick and easy.

I now keep Armour® Meatballs in the freezer, so I’m game day ready at all times.

Easy Anytime Meatballs

Of course, we use Armour Meatballs for a lot more recipes than just meatball sliders. I rarely make time to create meatballs from scratch.

It’s incredibly easy to purchase Armour Meatballs in the freezer section of my neighborhood Jewel-Osco.

Stop by your local Albertsons banner store to find the meatballs in Italian, Original, or Beef.

Each bag of Armour Meatballs contains easy-to-make recipes that will quickly become some of your favorite go-to meals.

Since the meatballs are fully cooked, they are the perfect heat-and-serve meat option for dinners, snacks, appetizers, or party food.

In addition to meatball sliders, I also use the meatballs in spaghetti, mostaccioli, snacks, and meatball sandwiches. They’re so convenient!

Game Day Meatball Sliders Creation Station

For game day gatherings, I want there to be a selection for everyone. Being a picky eater my entire life, I appreciate a table full of separated ingredients.

I know several children who feel the same way. For that reason, I made up a table to act as a meatball slider station.

Guests can create their own sliders and choose their own ingredients. Using the Italian Armour Meatballs, I baked them as directed.

Normally, for just us, I would then heat the meatballs in our favorite sauce. However, for this station, I put the marinara sauce in a separate bowl.

One side of the table contains meatballs, marinara sauce, olives, and the tops of mini rolls.

The opposite side has shredded mozzarella cheese, fresh mozzarella cheese balls, shredded parmesan, and the bottoms of the mini rolls.

After setting this up, I realize the rolls should be closer to the meatballs, but you get the drift.

Since I cut sugar and carbs lately, I added skewers to the table. Anyone who doesn’t want a slider can spear up a meatball with their choice of fresh mozzarella or olives.

Eat it plain or drizzle with marinara sauce for added flavor. Plain meatballs and cheese are now one of my favorite protein snacks in place of the sugary carbs I used to grab.

To keep the meatballs hot for guests throughout your gathering, you can add them to a slow cooker with the sauce.

Get creative and add all sorts of toppings and ingredients to your meatball bar.

What a great idea. I love the idea of skewers for less carbs too. I would have never thought of olives with meatballs, yum!
