My Favorite XFINITY App

It’s hard to choose which XFINITY app is my favorite among the many awesome ones that come with the new XFINITY X1 system. XFINITY sponsored this post; all opinions are my own. See more disclosure details below.

Smartphones are starting to control our lives more and more. There’s truly an app for just about everything. I find it fascinating, and love to learn about new apps and ways to make life easier. Technology is rapidly evolving with ways to entertain us and so much more.

With the new XFINITY system, there are several apps that you can download. This is good and bad in different ways.

It’s bad because you need multiple apps instead of just one. But, it’s good because you can choose to download just the ones you want. I prefer it because there’s no need to fiddle around in one app to find what you are looking for. When I hit the XFINITY app for the remote, that’s what I am getting – the remote.

XFINITY App Favorites – My Top Three

1.) Remote: Can’t find the remote? Not a problem when you download the XFINITY TV X1 Remote app. X1 customers can tap, swipe, or shake their smartphones to change channels and browse TV listings. You can use voice commands to search for shows, and get personalized recommendations.

If you are out and about and forgot to schedule the DVR to record a show, you can do that from the app. It’s wonderful and my favorite XFINITY app for sure.

Remember when you lost the remote and had to get up {gasp} off the couch to change the channel? Nonsense, I tell you. I don’t even think that’s an option on our current TV, so I am thankful that the hubby and I both can have the Remote app installed on our phones.

2.) My Account: The XFINITY My Account app is my second favorite. You can pay your bill, check your connection, manage appointments, and troubleshoot technical issues all from the app.

I am sure all of us have experienced waiting on hold, well get this… you can request a callback or chat with an expert on Twitter through the app. No lines and no waiting! This is more than convenience; it’s good for your blood pressure.

3.) WiFi: With the XFINITY WiFi app, you can locate millions of hotspots in cities nationwide. Once you login with your XFINITY info, this app will connect you to these hotspots on the road. It’s an awesome way to save data.

There are hotspots all over the place, and my phone is constantly tapping into one of them as I am driving around.

Those are my top three favorites, but there are many more to explore, as well. We still haven’t even looked into all of them. Some may say that all these apps are making us lazy as humans. I like to think of it as being more efficient. 😉
