This fruit pizza dessert recipe just screams spring. It’s the ideal dessert to welcome warmer weather. You can call it a fruit pizza or a fruit tart, but we’re sure you’ll also call it scrumptious.

Add this to your list of desserts to serve at gatherings this season. The crust is the perfect chance to use up leftover ice cream cones. (I mean, if that’s a thing at your house. It’s certainly not here!)

Colorful and Tasty Fruit Dessert Pizza Recipe

I am always looking for more ways to enjoy fresh fruit in the summer. Although fruit is great on its own, it’s also fun to use it in unique desserts.

Whether you are making desserts for summer parties, or just want something sweet for your family, this fruity pizza should definitely be on your list!

The crunchy cone crust, creamy cream cheese “sauce,” and sweet and tangy fruit creates an incredible blend of flavors and textures. You can find more recipes using fresh berries in this roundup post.

Fruit Tart Ingredients

Here’s what you need to make this recipe. The exact amounts are in the recipe card.

  • Ice cream cones
  • Sugar
  • Butter
  • Cream cheese
  • Powdered sugar
  • Half and half
  • Frest fruit

Fruit Pizza Directions

Use a food processor to crush the cones. You can mix up chocolate waffle and regular sugar cones to make a fun and unique texture, color, and flavor to the pizza.

Add the butter and sugar with the crushed cones and mix well. Press firmly into the bottom of your tart pan.

Beat the cream cheese, powered sugar, and half and half together. Mix with a hand mixer until smooth.

Spread the cream cheese mixture onto the crust.

Fruit Pizza Recipe Notes and FAQ

Can I use different types of fruit?

Of course, you can use your choice of favorite fruits as toppings. Kiwis, strawberries, and blueberries are a nice blend and look great.

Do I have to use sugar cones for the crust?

No, you can use graham crackers, cookie dough, sugar cookies, and even oats. Some involve baking, just do a search on how to create alternate crusts for a fruit pizza.

Can I add other toppings to the fruit tart?

Yes, you can add nuts, chocolate, or other toppings. Consider a caramel or chocolate drizzle using melted chocolate chips. Just keep in mind that the crust is sweet. I’d recommend sticking to fruit on the top. Plus, all the colors of the fruit makes it pretty.
